Black Lives (still) Matter

This is a mindfulness series I've been wanting to make for some time now. I found there wasn't a lot of high-quality meditations made specifically for people of color; especially to find healing from daily micro/macro-aggressions that confront you during the journey that is "living while black".

I'm not an expert. I made the practices knowing what I myself needed to hear. That I belong here. That I have worth. That I am wanted and needed. That I am important. I needed to hear all the things I found it the most difficult to internalize.

That I--and by extension--YOU f*cking matter.

THE CONCEPT:

Welcome to a space where music and mindfulness meet.

My Midnight Rites are lovingly curated mindfulness practices to help reclaim sacred mental space. For this specific journey, we’ll be focusing on leaning into our own self-worth and incredible life potential.

If you’re looking to begin adorning yourself with ethical clothing that is sure to last, has a low environmental impact AND support a (female) black-owned business--then our clothes are the place to start.

Through our work, we present a world in which the historically marginalized are the benefactors of history instead of the victims.

We hope our collections and collaborations will inspire, empower, and continue to move the global conversation forward.

We will not be defined by history. By creed, by sex, by race, by class, by status, by disability, by orientation. No one will decide the rules by which we are judged. We will be gated and guided only by our limitless potential. We now honor that potential by choosing to reclaim our past and redefine our future.
